Welcome to Constant Gardener
My name is Claire Golemboski and I'm passionate about plants, soil, ecology, gardens and excellent sustainable, useable and beautiful garden design.
What do I do?
I'm a qualified Garden Designer and freelance Gardener, based in Bangor, Northern Ireland. I have been working full time as a gardener since 2005 and a designer since 2007. I am fully insured. I work mostly in North Down / Ards / East Belfast area, although I will undertake design commissions throughout the UK and Ireland, or further afield.
What is my back ground in gardening and design?
I've always had an interest in gardening, from experimenting with growing beetroot in window boxes aged 7 to designing and building mixed raised beds bursting with organic vegetables, fruit and flowers at my first house and container gardening at my current abode.
No matter what job I held, I always came back to the garden so in 2005 I decided to become a full time gardener with a main focus on Garden Design.
Qualifications
HNC Garden Design, graduated 2008, SERC in Newtownards
RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) Level 2 in Horticulture with commendation on both papers, 2008 SERC
RHS Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Horticulture, I passed the written exams of compulsory Modules A and B in September 2009 and module I in May 2010. I now only have a further practical exam, module C to complete in October 2010.
Working towards registered membership of the Society of Garden Designers.
